Re: How to create a separate MM library? (or how best to accomplish what I need to do)

The way I manage 2 separate MM libraries is by using 2 different "portable" installs of MM. With portable installs I could have one install on my desktop with my huge library and another install on a portable SSD with a smaller library that I could use on different computers. That's when I...

Re: Can't get the MediaMonkey Android App to connect

MediaMonkey Android app is designed to play files synced to your Android, not control MM player on your computer. If you want an app to remotely control the MediaMonkey player on your Windows computer then you need to get MMRemote, it's a free app. But to get this to work you also need the MediaMonk...

Re: Time to launh MM is in excess of 2 min

There are a number of things that can slow down MM when starting, here are a few more. As my collection got larger I found it well worth not having these options set all the time, I only set them when needed. GoTo File Add rescan files to library Scan continuously Scan on startup Goto Options Genera...

Re: [REQ] Adjust RePlay Gain in MMA UI

I'm sorry, I know you were talking about MMA (MediaMonkey Android). That's why I included at the end of my last post,,, This volume is set inside the tag, not the library, so it can be used by other devices. We all wish that Android versions were as full featured as PC versions, but that's simply no...

Re: [REQ] Adjust RePlay Gain in MMA UI

You can do this with RegExp Find & Replace. http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28510 After installing RegExp set the MM options,,, Under Volume leveling set things to "per track" Under RegExp Find and Replace set,,, Show the toolbar button for the Find and Replace dialog ...

Re: Difference between "Artist" and "Album Artist" tags

Where I find it most important to set it correctly is when dealing with Various Artist discs. In a Various Artist disc the Album Artist field would be listed as Various while in each track the Artist Field would contain the name of the artist. If you choose to organize your files by Artist then it w...

Open artwork in Windows Photo Viewer

I have the artwork for most of my collection scanned at 300dpi and include front, back, inside and label. When I double click on the album cover in the bottom right corner of the screen it opens it full screen in a MediaMonkey windows. The problem with this is that it doesn't allow for zooming and y...

Re: Lyricator v1.1.1 #31 (2010-12-16)

love the updated lyricator, thanks for your efforts. One thing I would love to see is an option to skip files which already have lyrics, that way I can select a bunch of files and have it only look for missing lyrics. I add the Lyrics column, that way I simply click on it in the header and it sorts...

Re: Lyricator v1.1.1 #31 (2010-12-16)

So far it's great, it finds a lot that were missed before. I found one problem with it. Whenever you get a song where the title is simply Medley , it searches forever and doesn't move on to the next track. Options > Lyricator, remove "Medley" from black list. Thanks, didn't even know that...

Re: How to put a MM playlist on an iPod

In MediaMonkey Options under Portable/Audio Devices, click on your iPod then the Configure button. On the Auto-Sync list tab and then the Playlists sub tab, tick the playlist you wish to sync. Now when you sync your iPod the playlist will be included on your iPod. Just a helpful hint: You're better ...

Re: Controlling MM from one computer toplay in another

It would help if you told us what program you're using to connect remotely. If you're using Remote Desktop then this may point you in the right direction. 1. Start the Remote Desktop Client and enter your login information 2. Click the "Options" button in the bottom of the window 3. Click ...

Re: Printing cd info

There are a wide variety of programs you can use to print covers. Some people will create templates for programs like Word, Publisher or even PhotoShop with the proper size then add the image and resize it to fit. After that they print. There are also dedicated programs specifically designed to prin...

Re: re-reading the whole damn library

I have to question how much RAM you have in your computer. I installed MM on a really old laptop running XP with only 256mb of Ram and was experiencing the same problem you have, it would take a long time "Reading Tracks" every time I looked at a different item in the tree node. I upped it...

Re: CD won't play in MM without the CD in my CPU

What format did you rip the tracks, MP3, WMA, Wav? And where did you have it saved to? As in where is the folder located on your hard drive? Once you know the location and that MM is capable of playing those tracks, then in MM go to File>Add/Recan tracks to the library . Browse to the folder and it ...
