Post by rusty »

For those of you who go straight to the forums (bypassing the home page): -- MediaMonkey 2.1 was officially released today.

You can download it at: http://www.mediamonkey.com/MediaMonkey_Setup.exe
(The release is almost identical to the RC-2 build except that it's not a debug build and there's been a small update to the what's new file.)

Some of the highlights of this release are:
- Added On the fly CD encoding
- Added CD-Text support
- Added Album browser (for viewing Album details incl. Covers)
- Added ability to remove MP3 Tags
- Added randomized AutoPlaylists (Gold)
- Added new MP3 encoding presets
- Improved minimize to Now Playing
- Improved Play Now (*)
+ over 50 other fixes.

A complete list of changes is available at: http://www.mediamonkey.com/sw/whatsnew.txt

The marketing blurb is posted to: http://www.mediamonkey.com/news.htm

(*) Note: Double-clicking a single track now plays the selected track plus all those subsequent to it. To override this behavior, press the <alt> key (or change this behavior permanently via the Tools|Options|Player menu).
