MicroSD sync problem via USB

I know Google does not allow apps to write to the SD card starting with version 4.4, but I am having problems using usb sync to my SD card. I have tried syncing my media to SD card and eveything copies successfully but when I update metadata such as Ratings, or lyrics, the change does not transfer over to my computer library when I synch back via USB. I have a tons of FLAC files and I will run out of space on my phone soon. It works properly if the files are copied to my phone storage. Please advise. Thank you.

Because MMW reads from the MMA database for changes. Metadata isn't read when you sync an individual SD card.
