FIles Not Scanning to Database
I am running a prerelease version 2825 and finding that it is not scanning all media into the database. In my troubleshooting it appears to possibly be related to the file name. Specifically if it starts with numbers or digits. IE 40 Year Old Virgin.mp4 is on my hard drive but will not scan to the database in the Video folder. However it does show up in the Entire Library Folder. To me this appears to be a bug, but maybe its a setup error I have somewhere? Thanks
Re: FIles Not Scanning to Database
Hi,
If it shows in Entire library then most likely it is recognized incorrectly and assigned to different collection.
Check file properties in Entire library and see what Type it is assigned?

Perfect. Thanks They were set to TV instead of Video. I missed that small detail. I appreciate the help. Thanks
Re: FIles Not Scanning to Database
Well, this has morphed into another problem. I found the 10 files that were set to Type = TV, then changed them back to Video, like all of my other movies. Today when I reopened MM5 those movies are all back set to Type = TV. How does that happen?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: FIles Not Scanning to Database
Hi,
If you re-scanned folders it is possible that MM Reassigned them to TV. You should check paths and filenames to see why MM recognized them as TV.
