Just purchased MM Pro for my Moto E4 android. Doing my first sync. It is syncing the whole library. Ran out of room.
I then went to MM Portable Desktop: Tools>Options>Portable Device Sync. On available devices I unchecked everything but my Moto E 4. Then configured it as follows:
Auto Sync Device - unchecked everything but playlist and selected only one playlist.
Auto-Sync Library - unchecked auto sync new files from the device. Left Confirm Updates checked. Unchecked Auto Sync file metadata from the device to the PC.
I don't want the Moto E4 updating my library.
See photos attached.
All the tracks from the first sync still there. It isn't limited to my playlist.
Can you help?

Re: Sync Only Playlist
You need to enable the option to delete files not on the Sync list so MediaMonkey can remove any files not on the selected Playlist that it synced to the device before.

Re: Sync Only Playlist
Many thanks. That worked perfectly. I am going to create some new playlist. This one was songs (not Holiday) rated 3 stars or better. I am going to do one that is 4 stars or better. Obviously, this will be some of the same files. Am I correct that this playlist when synced won't result in additional files. Just an additional playlist?
Re: Sync Only Playlist
Generally yes, if a file is part of multiple Playlists it will only be synced once (unless you're using <Playlist> in the folder/filemask used for sync).

Re: Sync Only Playlist
The Destination, how files are saved on the device, uses Masks and if you use <Playlist> in the Mask you'd get duplication of files on the device, otherwise a file should only Sync once.

Re: Sync Only Playlist
Thanks. I really don't understand "masks". And when I look at the link the only thing I could think to do was look at the device profile by going Tools>Options>Motorola Moto E 4>configure>Auto Sinc Device
Under Collections I did select playlist. Under which files to keep synced, nothing is checked.
So since I only want my playlist songs synced, not sure what to do.
EDIT - I just did a new playlist that is a subset. Everything is fine. No increase in the number of songs.

Re: Sync Only Playlist
You probably don't have to worry about Destination as you would have had to put <Playlist> in the past, and you probably didn't, so you're good to go.
All you then need to worry about is the Sync to Device selection. Only what is selected to be Synced will be Synced.
