2223 broke dlna list view

I can't get the display of dlna information to go into list view any more. Library, at this point i get a grid view of movie, music, music video etc. Pressing the button does not change grid view to list view. It does not work anywhere.

In which DLNA node you are? Is it that only clicking the view button does not work or also opening the dropdown list and change to "List" ?
Could you attach a screenshot?

Ahh, I see, this was intended change in https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view ... 926#c56032

You can now configure Grid / List separatelly for folders and tracks.
i.e. 'List' view is for tracks and 'Grid (Folders)' subview is for folders.
So just switch it to 'List (Folders)' subview if you want: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jun6wh8l89i3l ... 8.png?dl=0

thanks for that info ... but not sure this was a needed feature. there was a grid view already available.

Sorry ... but i have to ask WHY? why would this change have been implemented? It was working so well as it was. Click and it is in list view .. Click again and folders are in Grid view. Grid, List, Grid, List. The user has the control. Now the default appears to be folders in Grid view and then the button does nothing. But in List view the button goes back and forth between grid and list.
Why oh why was this added? Just more confusion for the user

thanks for that Ludek .. although I think that it is becoming unnecessarily confusing or complex I can see a lot of thought has gone into it. Thanks again
