Re: Is it possible for MM5 to provide the same Bottom Player View as MM4?
I appreciate the help Drakinite! I am looking for: -the same colours as in MM4's Gilded theme. This should be an easy one. According to an online colour picker, the colours are: #b9b9b9 for the left column with Home/Playing/Music. #f5f5f5 and #e9e9e9 for the alternating colours on the Music view. I ...

Why is Search so complicated now? And not working
I will preface this by saying the new search is slick. Visually, it's appealing. The problem is it doesn't work. I am coming from MM4. In MM4, this is how searching works. If you highlight a field and type, the highlighted file changes to match what you are typing. If I type in "Who W", it...

Re: Is it possible for MM5 to provide the same Bottom Player View as MM4?
Do I "want" to deal with it? No. Do I think I will be able to find a modern, supported Media Player that resembles MM4 without this? No. I would just keep using MM4 but I am getting a strange, interesting, and bizarre glitch with using it and my new hard drive. I posted about this on the M...

Re: Is it possible for MM5 to provide the same Bottom Player View as MM4?
So do MM5 skins come in a HTML and a Javascript variety?
I've never done any Javascript coding, I don't know the Windows Editor you speak of, my PC doesn't know how to open the file. I'm sure I could fake it or get help elsewhere enough to make it work. What editor do you suggest using?

Re: Is it possible for MM5 to provide the same Bottom Player View as MM4?
I really appreciate the write-up!
I downloaded a skin to mess around with. It downloads as a "mmip" file. I tried opening it in Notepad but that doesn't return what I'm looking for. I don't see an option to extract the skin once it's installed in MM either.

Re: Is it possible for MM5 to provide the same Bottom Player View as MM4?
Is there a guide on skins somewhere? I have the old Gilded skin, but I don't understand the skinning process or how to update it from a MM4 skin to a MM5 skin. I'm sure it needs to be altered but I can't imagine it's that drastic of an alteration. Or if I could start with an existing skin and edit it.

Is it possible for MM5 to provide the same Bottom Player View as MM4?
The "trend" with Media Playback Programs is for these tiny skinny bottom bars that display as little information as possible. This trend has kept me using MM4, where I get the Title, Artist, and Album displayed, shifted to the left, with the album art visible. As our screens get larger, ha...

Any chance someone will make a Gilded theme for MM5?
I like MM5, but I am still using MM4 because of the Gilded theme. I like my album art on the left! I like the size of the bottom bar. I like the muted but modern colours. If there's a way I can make one myself, I'd love to learn how. MM5's left side of the screen is so empty it's a bit jarring. Is t...

Re: [REQ] The symbol # be added to the list of symbols that are ignored in favour of the next character.
Maaaan, I've never even heard of MediaMonkey5! I am guessing it's not fully ready for release yet? I'm not finding much info on it. Seems like it requires a paid license? I'm sorry I posted this in the wrong category. MM4 gets frequent updates I had assumed I was using the most recent version. I'm s...

[REQ] The symbol # be added to the list of symbols that are ignored in favour of the next character.
In MediaMonkey, some symbols or words are ignored in favour of what comes after. "The Beatles" are with the Bs alphabetically. I have a song that is titled " '49 ", it is alphabetically with the other songs that begin with 4, not with other " ' " symbols. I am asking fo...

Re: Song is adding every image file in the folder it is loca
With the scan option disabled it should not add images to files, however it won't remove images from files they have already been added to. But if I move that file OUT of the folder, those images are not present in it. It's only when the file is in that folder is this occuring. So they can't be tag...

Song is adding every image file in the folder it is located.
I am trying to edit a song but whenever I open it, it loads every image in the folder. I am not sure what is causing it (I have unchecked "Scan file directories for artwork" under Library) and when I move the file out of that folder it does not retain the images. I want this to end. I neve...

Re: Question for skinners out there, image inside!!
Well can I edit the skin somehow and disable this? Or maybe another kind of work around? That display is not attractive.nohitter151 wrote:Nothing went wrong, MM4 allows skins to use the aero glass of Vista/7.

Question for skinners out there, image inside!!
On the left is Media Monkey 4. On the right is Media Monkey 3.
What's gone wrong? I can't drag the File, Edit, View stuff down a line.
Thank you!!
