Nothing went wrong, MM4 allows skins to use the aero glass of Vista/7.

Well can I edit the skin somehow and disable this? Or maybe another kind of work around? That display is not attractive.

You can edit the skin (check the wiki) or just use another skin. You can also run MM in XP compatibility mode and it will use the old style borders.

I did this to all my my MM4 skins as I don't like the Aero look. Someone else gave the solution, I just wrote it down.

-Find the skin file that you want to disable aero for.
-Change the file's extension from .msz to .zip.
-Unzip the file into a folder the same name as the skin.
-Open the folder and open the file "Settings.ini" with notepad.
-Add the lines:

[System]
ForceDisableAero=1

to the end of the file. Save the changes.

-Zip the skin folder back up, and change the extension back to .msz
-Restart MM or start MM.
