My wife has an iPod Nano and the newest gold member version of MM. She deleted some songs she had double and synched her iPod, but the songs weren't deleted from there. What could be the reason(s) for this?
Thanks,
Paul

From the MM library. She selected them, pressed delete and selected the option "delete from library and computer". I did a test and the songs were deleted from her external drive, but still appeared on her iPod after synchronization.

You will need to set MediaMonkey to delete all media files not on the sync list in the Device Profile if you want files removed from MediaMonkey to be removed from the device your syncing.

Re: Problem synching iPod Nano, please help
It was set already to "Delete other files and playlists from the device: Unselected Library files." Is that what you mean? Cuz if so, that didn't solve the problem. Perhaps a few weeks ago when she first synched it, this wasn't set but it is now and nothing changed. Will it be necessary to restore the iPod and synch it from scratch?Lowlander wrote:You will need to set MediaMonkey to delete all media files not on the sync list in the Device Profile if you want files removed from MediaMonkey to be removed from the device your syncing.

Then it should remove the files. You may want to capture the sync with failed removal in a debug log (step 4b) and send the log to support: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=12&t=69
