I use MMW (5.0.4.2690) to manage my music collection (Win10, 22H2)
I use MMA Pro to sync to a Pixel 6 (Android 12.0.0_r46) for playback
My library is about 13,000 tracks, of which ~8,000 are synced via 20 playlists I regularly use, out of ~36 playlists I maintain.
MMW uses these directories:
username\Media\Music
username\Media\Playlists
MMA uses these directories:
/Music/
/Playlists/
The new version of MMA messed up completely, lost my music files.
My files were still on my phone, but MMA synced to a different (new) directory, so I fixed that.
I Resynced via WiFi (takes forever, but USB sync is broken now, and it only transfers via WiFi)
It properly copies only the correct 8000 tracks to /Music/ now.
But it does not copy the playlists to /Playlists/ so I can't listen to any playlists.
Water water everywhere, but not a drop to drink...
Why don't my Playlists show up in the Playlists node?
Playlists not transferring.

Re: Playlists not transferring.
Are the Playlists selected in the Sync List to be Synced and is Sync Playlists enabled?
How does USB Sync fail?

Re: Playlists not transferring.
So the problem I was having is mostly resolved.
The problem I had that the WiFi sync did not complete (it moved ~8000 files, so I assumed it had completed) so the playlists didn't get copied.
I got wound up trying to solve what I thought was a playlist problem, so I didn't notice the actual problem.
I rebooted both machines, and tried a re-sync, it moved ~150 more files and then moved the playlists normally.
As for the USB problem, I hook up by a known-good USB-C cable, I set the Android USB mode to "file transfer" mode and run MMA and MMW. I click "Sync" on MMA and get "! Global Error" "Connection failed!" and there is no transfer.
If I turn WiFi on, the the sync proceeds correctly.
I have no idea why USB isn't connecting.
