Hi:
I haven't ripped a CD in a while and I don't recall any issues when I did.
But last night the error message below appeared when I tried to rip a CD.
I am using MM version 4.1 31.1919.
I'm confused - do I need to get an app or something?
Error message when ripping CD

Re: Error message when ripping CD
Hi,
When you insert CD do you get that dialog immediately?
If Yes then close it -> Open File explorer -> This PC -> Right click on Audio CD -> Open Auto Play and it should allow you to select RIP CD with MediaMonkey and next CD insert it should Run MM RIP Dialog
If No then Open File explorer -> This PC -> Right click on Audio CD -> Open Auto Play and it should allow you to select RIP CD with MediaMonkey
If None above help Open File explorer -> Paste "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\AutoPlay" and press enter. That should open Default Auto Play default app action for specific cases. For Audio CD and for Enhanced Audio CD select RIP with MediaMonkey
Lastly if above do not help then in "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\AutoPlay" dialog select Take no action for bot Audio CD and Enhanced Audio CD so that inserting a CD do not trigger any OS Action.
To enjoy your CD Ripping you can always manually start of Audio CD RIP within MediaMonkey Tools -> RIP Audio CD
Happy Monkeying!

Re: Error message when ripping CD
That's a Windows error. You can still Rip CD's even with this error shown by Windows.

Re: Error message when ripping CD
Thanks for your suggestions. I ended up disabling AutoPlay and manually starting Audio CD RIP within MediaMonkey.
Re: Error message when ripping CD
Hi,
I personally prefer that option eg. Select "Take no action", but I know some users that like to start RIP immediately after CD insertions.
