how do I get MM5 to sync updated files?

I want to replace hundreds of mp3 files by higher quality and/or normalized versions. I want MM5 to replace the mp3 files that it uses, while keeping all my track information for these files (in which I've invested many many hours). When I replace mp3 files by better/updated ones, MM5 does not sync these updated files: no new files are added and also no files are updated.

How can I replace (large numbers of) mp3 files while keeping the information on these tracks in the MM5 database?

Which Build (Help > About) are you using? I believe this should work with MediaMonkey 5.1.
