My renderer is a Linn Selekt DSM, and I know from using a variety of different control points from Linn and also third parties that it's possible for a DNLA control point to manipulate the renderer's volume remotely as you'd expect.
With MM5 (latest production version) running on fully up to date Windows 11, controlling the Linn box ... the volume control on MM has no effect at all. That is:
- Shifting the bar on screen moves it around but does not apparently tell the renderer to change volume
- Changing the volume on the renderer itself is not reflected back to MM5.
It's no big deal, just need to have the LINN DNLA app running or have the remote to hand. But if MM5 won't support volume control, it'd be a better user experience to disable it on screen. Or fix the compatibility issue.
