Loved tag

Post by Biggus_Dickus »

Hi,
after switching from MediaMonkey to MusicBee and now back to MediaMonkey (because of IPhone support), I miss the function to set a song as loved ones, like in ITunes or MusicBee (you know, the heart symbol). And importing/syncing this from IPhone would be nice.

Hi,
Can you please send me (PM) DL Link for two versions of same file where one will have Loved Tag and other do not, so that I can see if it is possible to map it to for example Quality or Mood or ...

What is the Love tag in comparsion to rating? Isn't it just an extra rating level? The benefit of the heart button in other applications is the quick access. It can be solved with an extra tag or a predefined playlist, or just a quick access to set the rating to 10.

I don't believe it's nessesary. Mediamonkey provides enough to find out what you're favorites are. It should not be overloaded by features cause other players have them.

Yeah we would like the option to set as a loved song as well. Any ideas on if this would be an addition in the future?

For example Last.FM uses loved tag approach instead of rating.

That I completely agree on, but would still like to be able to flag my favorites as Loved in Last.FM. This is really something for future versions.

Is there an actual Loved tag in the different tagging standards? If so I'd be okay with it, it's not that you personally have to use every tag available.

Hi,
It is more like standard for Making one track favorite or not Simple Yes/No or Like/Not Like or Love or Favorite. For example I would Like that all tracks 4+ Stars gets Love Tag on Last.FM

For now I simply Create Auto Playlist with Criteria 4+ Stars with Playcount 50+ But UI representation and parser to other platforms would be nice.

I do not see Direct tag field and iTunes keeps that in Library.

It is nice to have, but it can be archived using other fields.
