Monkey Rok 6.2 - Updated 06/07/2014

Hi,
I have installed MonkeyRok current version on MM 4.1.0.1656, plus the MonkeyRok Skin "Metro".
Furthermore, I have installed following Addons:

Skin MetroMonkey

ScrobblerDJ
Genre Finder
Discogs Tagger
Similar Artists

LastFM Play Importer
Fix Playlist Dups
PUID Generator
More DiscogsImages


So far, it works well. However, I am getting regular Windows alerts, saying: "An ActiveX Control Element on this page is eventually in conflict with other elements and therefore not secure. Do you want to allow?"

This happens sometimes, when tracks are changed, or when I look up the settings in Tools/Options...

How can I get rid of this issue?

Hi,
I have included the artist images in MonkeyRok as a slideshow. However - the artist-images are very small (like a stamp), I would like to change the size. Is this possible?

Also it would be great to change the time, how long the images are displayed. How could I do that?

Sorry, missed the post about the artist image slideshow. The images are taken from Last.Fm, first trying the 160px image and then 85px and then 50px, until it finds an image. These are the sizes available, so I can't make them bigger, but you could modify "Functions.vbs" line 4503, if you want to force the width/height of the <img> tag to be larger.

The slideshow itself is done using a jQuery plugin called Cycle. I leave the timing to be the default value, not sure what that is, but you can control the slideshow using the options of the plugin, by modifying "Functions.js" line 502.

I haven't used MR for a while but now when I try to make any changes, such as change skin, MM immediately shuts down. I have a portable install running MR 6.1 and MM 4.0.7.1511.

Any thoughts?

It's not actually possible to close down MM from a script, as far as I'm aware. Are you getting any errors messages? It doesn't sound like it - how about creating an MM debug log (not a script one, a proper full MM debug log)?

I've uninstalled 6.1 and tried earlier versions, all with the same result. If I click the MR icon it opens fine. But if I make any changes and click OK, I immediately get an error message "Media Monkey has stopped working and will shut down" and it does.

It will be a while until I get you a debug log. I want to wait until 4.1 is released, for all we know that might fix it. Thank you.

used monkeyrok for awhile with artist image panel. last few days artist image panel has been blank.

My script doesn't call this command at the moment though, so it's still not my script that is triggering the shutdown

As of today, the artist.getImages method returns a deprecation notice. The method has been de-listed for over a year now, and this change finalises the deprecation.

Other API methods are also being reviewed and will be changed to reflect our licensing restrictions.

since many years im using MR an i list in the MR-Windows not the value from "Playcounter" ... i use the value from "Custom2" in the display

in the older versions of MRock, i changed in the Function.vbs ... "Playcounter" to "Custom2"
and the MRock-Windows displays the value from "Custom2" instead the value from "Playcounter" in the list - and it works fine

now i have installed MR6.1 ... i changed in the Function.vbs ... "Playcounter" to "Custom2" ... and the MR-Windows displays nevertheless the value from "Playcounter" from the Database

Picture - Beyond Time is running - Playcounter says "0" (collum Gespielt#) - Custom2 says "11"


what's the reason of it and what can i do?

You may have edited the wrong copy of the script, depending on where you installed the script to. Trying searching for another copy of the script in your local data, assuming the one you edited was in the program files.
