Re: Random bug when hovering over menu items [#20946]
The bug seems to be marked as fixed but exactly same thing happened again after updating to today's latest version (3027). First time after launching the menus were all blank and full height vertically. Then after trying to click some of the menu options I got this crash: https://i.ibb.co/bg7P52S/Ca...

Random bug when hovering over menu items [#20946]
I've seen this bug lots of times before but never bothered reporting it as it's quite random. I'll usually see it the first time when running after there's a new update of MM and then it doesn't usually appear again until the next update. Today I saw it after changing skin to the default Material De...

Re: Case checker no longer working [#19939]
I'd forgotten about this bug but it still definitely happens for me if I follow the steps I wrote in my previous post (and I'm also using latest MMW 2024.0.0.3021)

Re: MM 2024 install folder
My plan for dealing with the Installer new default to <Drive:>\MediaMonkey without losing all my MediaMonkey 5 Settings is to: I did as suggested above and just renamed my existing portable install from "C:\MediaMonkey 5" to "C:\MediaMonkey" then when each new portable install i...

Re: MM 2024 install folder
When I try to browse to my existing portable location C:\MediaMonkey 5 it fills in this path:
C:\MediaMonkey 5\MediaMonkey
Guess I'll have to delete the trailing MediaMonkey text.

Re: MM 2024 install folder
I just downloaded and ran the installer like I always do, and ticked portable (like I always do). In all previous installers it preselects C:\MediaMonkey 5 as the default location. In this one it preselects C:\MediaMonkey.
I'll try browsing to C:\MediaMonkey 5 in the installer this time.

Re: MM 2024 install folder
Just running the 2024 installer now and for a portable install it defaults to C:\MediaMonkey in the dialogue box.
All previous portable installs default to C:\MediaMonkey 5 (which is where my current install is)
If I let it install to C:\MediaMonkey will it find my existing settings/db/skins etc?

Re: Modified track not re-synced to device
Yes, file is definitely on the sync list and timestamp is definitely updated under the properties tab. If the bitrate or track duration has changed it always resyncs but if the bitrate or duration stays the same then it doesn't. I guess I'm in a specific use case here that maybe not many other peopl...

Re: Modified track not re-synced to device
OK, but I suppose that you are doing these edits in another app and after these edits the file timestamp (file modified attribute) is not changed in Windows Explorer too? So there is no chance to find that the file has been really changed/modified by the other app (including MediaMonkey)? No, the t...

Re: Modified track not re-synced to device
FYI: This may be related to https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=14676 There is new option: [.. ] Force files to resync whenever the source file has changed (slower) but disabled by default (Sync profile > Tagging) Interesting, I never knew this setting was even available. But - it doesn'...

Re: Modified track not re-synced to device
I just tested the timestamp and it does show the correct timestamp within MM5 for a file that I just edited. i.e. I created a test mp3 of a random track, imported it to MM5 and then edited it in Audacity to make the whole track silent. Then saved it over the top of the original, rescanned in MM5 and...

Re: Modified track not re-synced to device
So as I say, I edit a file (for example an mp3) within my DAW software and make whatever changes I need. This could involve things like adjusting the EQ of the track, volume normalisation, fade ins, chopping out sections of the track etc. Then I save the edited file back to its original location. So...
