I have observed that the internal player cannot play some songs with igh bitrates. I have checked that with winamp they played correctly.

To my knowledge, MediaMonkey 2.0 had this problem, but it was corrected with MM 2.1 via the bundling of the MAD MP3 input plug-in.
-Are you using MM 2.1?
-Did you install the MAD input plug-in at installation time (the MediaMonkey installer should have prompted you for this)?
-If the answer to the above 2 questions are yes, please verify whether you have another MP3 plugin in the /Program Files/MediaMonkey/Plugins folder--if you do, delete it as it may be conflicting with the MAD plugin (the only MP3 input plugin that you need in in_mad.dll, others such as in_dsmp3.dll are no longer needed).
