After (not) sending Error Report, MM freezes

I have had several problems at which MM5 presented the Error Report window. Then, when clicking the Send button, it does or does not send it. (If it does not, it stalls.) And in both cases, MM freezes. I have to use Task Manager to close the program.

This is not about a specific error, but about how MM handles/reacts to errors, and about the inability to close it in a normal manner then.

I can confirm this with the current build 5.0.0.2338.

And I'd like to add that there is no option to cancle the sending of the error report.

Hi,
MM5 already crashed and is frozen in most cases before you see error dialog.

You should locate any non sent Error logs at "%appdata%\EurekaLab s.a.s\EurekaLog\Bug Reports\" or at "%appdata%\EurekaLog\MediaMonkey" that you can attach to open ticket.

I too am getting this problem but there are no non-sent error logs to send.
What happens:- After a fresh install of MMW Gold 5.0.0.2338, I added folders for searching and everything seemed okay. Then, after 5 minutes or so, all I had was a white screen and the programme was non responsive. It was terminated with Task Manager and MMW5 launched again. Same thing happened - multiple times and always, no non-sent error report.
Just launching the programme, not playing anything and not invoking any database action, the programme still crashes to a white screen.
I deleted the database and didn't invoke any search for content and this still crashed after 10 minutes.
I've used MMW Gold since 2017 and have never had this problem before now so it would be nice if someone can find out what's causing this and provide an update.

Windows 10 Pro 10.0.19042 Intel i7 2700K - 32gb ram.
MMW 5.0.0.2338
No un-sent error reports in /appdata/roaming/EurekaLab s.a.s/EurekaLog/Bug Reports.

Update: MMW 5.0.0.2338 uninstalled and MMW 4.1.24.1883 reinstalled. Everything works fine so I guess there are still bugs in V5.0.0.2338.

Please capture the white screen in a debug log (step 4b) instead: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 30&t=86643 Attach it to a Support Ticket which should help the developers discover why you're seeing this.

@Lowlander — My version is 5.0.0.2316. When I click Help > Check For Updates, it says that it is the current version.

@Peke — I located the folder that you mention, but it's empty.

Please ensure that you installed _Debug build: https://www.mediamonkey.com/sw/MediaMon ... _Debug.exe
Only debug build can submit/gebnerate logs, thanks!

The update notification should now be working even if the beta builds notification option isn't enabled.
