New SD card not recognized in MMW

I just replaced the SD card in my Samsung Galaxy. I used the MediaMonkey steps to sync to the new card: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index. ... oid_device

I prepped the SD card, then tried to do the first sync with the card in my laptop (like the instructions said). My card doesn't appear in the Media Tree in MediaMonkey Windows. I ended up doing the first sync via USB cable.

How come MMW doesn't recognize my SD card when it's in my laptop? After my USB sync I tried the SD card in my laptop again, and it still doesn't show in the Media Tree.

The recommendation is to sync via USB to your device (with the SD card), not to SD card directly.
