MMW4 conversion whilst synch

Hi,
Just about to download MMW4 and had a question. I'm wanting to be able to rip CDs to MMW as ALAC. I'm also wanting to be able to synch music from those ALAC to USB but as AAC...will the free version do this? I take it I need to download / buy the codecs to do this?

You'll need the Gold version to set the Auto-Conversion rules and the Codec Pack to convert.
