[SOLVED] Transferring/open playlist from microSD

Post by michaellacrosse »

I have a Sansa Fuze that has an external microSD card.

I've pulled the card out and have connected it to my computer. But I'm unable to either open or transfer the playlists from the microSD card to MM.

Is there a step I'm missing or any guidance anyone can provide so I can play/access these playlists?

Thanks for your help!

Hi,
Can you copu/paste one of smallest SDCard playlist content in </> so that we can analyze?

Open the Playlist on the device with something like Notepad and paste the first 15 lines here. You may have to copy the Playlist to your PC if you can't open it directly from the device plugged into your PC.

Is the Playlist saved in the folder that contains the Music folder (ie. the Parent folder of the Music folder)?

Hi,
Try these steps:
1. Tools -> Options -> Devices -> SANSA PROFILE -> Configure -> Options -> Playlists
2. Enable Force relative paths, Use Unicode and Use linux paths
3. Change \Playlists\ -> \Music\
4. Ok
5. Sync again.

If that do not help try combination of enabling/disabling Use linux paths and change to \Playlists\ -> \Music\ and via verso.

Let us know the result.

Peke -

When I go to that path, when the playlist format is set to PLA, I'm unable to see any of those options.

But when it's set to M3U, I can make those changes.

Then it won't work as it would be looking for the audio files under SD > Playlists > Music. If you move them to the root of the SD card they should work with the Paths you have on them.

That did not work.

I moved to the root and MM was still unable to read them/play them.

You're trying to open the Playlists in MMW from the SD card no? Not open them on the Sansa?
