remove settings from delete list

hey i'm using a simple USB storage/mp3 player

there are 2 files on it
a SETTINGS.DAT and a Windows Media Player.lnk file that shouldn't be deleted at any time, they are not in folders, is there a way to exclude them from the delete list when using auto-synchronisation?

PS it's a Packard Bell AudioKey FM 512 mb
