M3U Playlist Import

Post by guest »

Hello,

after installing Media Monkey and scanning the data directory, the "Imported m3u playlists" library item contains only a small fraction of the present playlist names. The tracks listed in the imported playlists do not at all match the original m3u playlist content.

This applies not only to the newly released version of Media Monkey, but also to the previous version.

And, is there any possibilty to import just a single M3U playlist to the playlist library?

Regards,
Malte.

Malte,

it would be great if you could send some more information about which playlists weren't properly imported, where were they located, what was their content, etc. This feature is supposed to work well, so we would like to know about any problems there.

In case you want to import a .m3u playlist manually, you can open it (using 'eject' button on the player), and then go to the 'Now Playing' window where you can save it to MM internal playlists using List|Save command.

Hi Jiri,

thank you very much for the immediate answer.
The trick with the eject button worked well to import
a single m3u playlist.

Regarding the m3u autoimport function, my structure
is the following (simplified):

\mp3\m3u playlist\aaa.m3u
\mp3\m3u playlist\bbb.m3u
\mp3\m3u playlist\subfolder\ccc.m3u
\mp3\m3u playlist\subfolder\ddd.m3u

Then, during the import process, the status bar tells
something like
Adding x of y, \mp3\m3u playlist\subfolder\'aaa.m3u'
which obviously mixes the above pathes
and leads to the file not being imported at all.

Can anybody confirm this behaviour?

Regards,
Malte.
