When MM crashes or will be killed through the process tab in the task manager the current playlist gets lost. Instead the previous state will be restored.
It seems that MM only saves the playlist during a successful shutdown.
Experienced in 4.1.8.1744 and previous versions.

Yes that is true. I believe it has been ask several times for a way to save .. but it really hasn't caught any traction. It would be nice.

+1 for this idea, an automatic save every nth minute would be nice for some things.
But I have found that in most mainstream software
if you have to force a close then 9/10 times you lose unsaved work.

It's well documented that MediaMonkey doesn't save settings and Now Playing unless you have a successful close. Saving on updates has been requested (could be slow for large Now Playing) and discussed.
