Delete WMP from updating files

I stupidly marked the box that comes up asking about updating files through WMP as "do not show again" Unfortunately, what happened when marked is it searched my entire computer for any kind of audio, video, and picture files, importing and listing all. Under the Tools, Options, Library, File Monitor, I marked only certain directories be checked, but evidently that goes out the window when you mark WMP. The question is how do I make it visible again so I can stop this procedure. As an aside, I do not use WMP for much of anything.
