Does iPad/iPhone camera kit allow watching video on USB?

I'm wondering if anyone has experience with iOS camera kit connectors like http://www.amazon.ca/niceeshop-MicroSD- ... 00HQ7TJXE/ I wonder if you can watch videos directly from an attached USB thumbdrive or that it only allows you to copy files from connected USB thumbdrive/SD cards, etc.?
