Hi I just started using the free version for Windows version 4.. I am using the latest discogs-tagger v5.79 My friend that has the gold version and loves your software told me when I'm tagging to check the involved peoples box in tagging options which loads the credit section and any artists listed in the tracklist on the particular Discogs release page which then get Loaded into the involved people box on the details tab in MM file properties.. But when I do this nothing happens everything else loads.. the comment sections loads all the rest of the ID tag is loading I'm using MP3s.. The exact same files my friend tagged previously and successfully with involved people.. and I've tried other files and I know the release page is correct I'm even using the release page/pages he recently used again it all works except for the involved peoples box In details which comes up empty after auto tagging.... So do I need to have the gold version is that what automatic means when comparing the tagging options to free vs gold? Or is it something with this addon? the media monkey TechTeam sent me this link to this post to contact the creator of this addon? crap_inhuman? Hi can you help??

Newbie here.. Sorry for the second reply I forgot to add…I also realize this information in the involved people box is used when searching through your media library which I didn't create one yet I wonder if that could be the cause of the issue do you have to have a media library established for this involved people box to be filled by the auto tagger?

Hey, sorry for the late reply.

Everything else is filled in the mp3 but not the additional artists (involved people)? Do you see the additional artists in the tagger window after you choose a release ?
Do you set the box for "Save involved people"?

No worries.. It was newbie user error..I thought the box to check was inside tagging options which reads "Ivolved people on individual lines" But unfortunately that box won't help you if you don't have the box outside of tagging options on the main interface checked for "save involved people" lol My only suggestion for dummies like me would be to put all of that in one spot but I guess you have to decide what you want in tagging options vs the box to actually "save involve people" I guess it should be outside of that options box but it just caused confusion for me because I didn't see it.. 😉🙏

No problem, i'm happy that you resolve the problem and could use now the Tagger!!

If you move the mouse over a checkbox you can see a tip with more information about it.

After the Discogs window opens, usually you could click on the Album Title and scroll down to see "Other Versions" of the album. Now it's just a spinning circle.
You have to click on Artist and scroll to the Album, and then click that to see other versions. Not a big problem, just takes more time. Any chance of a fix?
Thank you in advance.

You can see the other version of an album, if you click on the upper drop-down box. I didn't know another way to select another version!? Could you post a screenshot?

Once you open the "Auto-Tag from Web" and the Discogs window opens, if you click on the underlined "Artist" below the "Release Information", it will open a new window to the Artist's Main Page on Discogs and you can scroll to see all their albums.
I used to be able to just click on the "Album" title and a new window would open to show the album and you could scroll down to see all the versions of just that album title on the Discogs page. Now I just get a spinning circle. (The screenshot shows the album page scrolled down to "Other Versions") Image

Hi!
I've recently moved to Windows 10, and Discogs Tagger isn't working.
When attempting to tag a song, it throws
Error #-216697211 - msxml6.dll
The system cannot locate the resource specified.
File "C:\Users\*****\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Discogs\WebTag.vbs", Line: 7312, Column: 3
Would really appreciate any help with this.

I just tried it and i see a spinning circle, too. I think it's a Internet Explorer Problem, cause opening the same link in firefox works.

Did you tried to click on the upper drop-down box and choose another version of the album?

Hi,
do you use a vpn, proxy, special firewall or something like that?
Please try to open the following page with the Internet Explorer (not Edge!) : https://www.germanc64.de/mm/oauth/check_new_v2.php
You should see the following text:
OAuth client error
Error: the access token is not set to a valid value
https://api.discogs.com/database/search?

Yes, that was the error I've got.
So I've checked the firewall and indeed, MediaMonkey was in there for some reason.
I've removed it, reauthorized Discogs Tagger, and now it works!
Thank you so much for your help! And for swift response! And for the script, of course :)
