Are there any plans to support gapless playback for MM RT? To me this is one of the crucial features if you ever play back live albums or concept albums (Dark Side of the Moon, for example).
I have tried this out with local files, as well as several DLNA servers (AssetUPnP and Squeeze Server). In all cases there is a noticable gap between tracks. If I use my SqueezeBox Touch against the same Squeeze Server it can play gapless, so I beleive that it should be able to be done.
Thanks,
Mike
BTW: Very nice! I love finally being able to play FLAC files on my Surface RT.
Gapless playback support?

Re: Gapless playback support?
Gapless will be probably problematic in Modern UI, it seems, native playback mechanisms do not support this feature at all. Maybe sometimes in the future we fill find the way, how to do it reliably, but hard to say now.
Anyway, we could try to make the gap a lot smaller I think, maybe it would sound ok.

The smaller the gap, the better. Any improvement would be appreciated.

Re: Gapless playback support?
Why would gapless playback be difficult with a modern UI. Apple have been doing it for years. This is a big problem especially for those of us that listen to Opera or albums that are supposed to flow without an artificial gap. Try listening to The Wall or Dark Side of the Moon and you'll understand. With opera the effect is even worse.

Metro Apps have a lot of limitations due to the way Microsoft setup Metro. If you want more features you'll need to run MediaMonkey for Windows.
