Player

Post by 9volts9 »

After using Media Monkey for some time now, it finally became clear what felt so clunky.
The player buttons are all over the place. I have buttons in 3 corners of my screen for different player functions. It is all very clunky.
What would you think of gathering the play, volume, stop, etc. in a nice little "box"?
The entire player functions in one area. What a concept!
I used to love Music Match (except for the crashes) & before Yahoo destroyed it.
Winamp was my favorite for a while.
Itunes wants to control more than I want it to.
I can’t help but think there are many users that simply want a functional player.
Forget the eye candy, the ability to change skins & such.
All we want is a player that doesn’t crash, is fast, lets us organize our music our way easily & sounds amazing.
Printing Playlists is very important as well. MM falls way short here.
It would be nice to be able to easily select the columns & such for playlist printout.
Aiamp2 is what I use for a radio player. It is great for that, but import music to it & make a playlist, forget it.
I am hoping that one day someone will make a simple player for a simple person that loves to listen to music & create & share music.
I am an audio ho & if someone else builds what I want I am there.
Media Monkey seems to lack a simple “player”.
My library at this point has 172792 Files. There are many, many duplicates which slowly MM is helping me tackle.
I hope the focus can change from glamour to function.

That was my post from what, 7 years ago.
There is still no decent way to print decent playlists.
Yes I know, who uses disks anymore? Well I do, on occasion.
Create a report just isn't enough.
So what is the problem anyhow? Afraid someone is going to use it commercially?

I still make cds from time to time and I find more creative tools for case labels by using avary template in their own lable program.
But also some printers have their own software to do labels.
You can also make your own label for the office document writer of your choice and get better results
