Re-Linking preview files

Post by ebh »

I am running my Songs-DB on my laptop, I've got a mapped directory on my office network (Z:\) as the directory for my previews.

All was well until I accidentally 'Updated the Library' (including 'Checking Previews') while at home. All my previews have been disconnected now... Is there any way to re-link them to the database?

Thanks.

Unfortunatelly not, the previews still exist, but the link to them from the database was removed. I suppose it will be necessary to add some safety mechanism for such non-standard cases. Sorry.

I'm not sure - do you mean the main database or previews only?

Little bit of both, something like 'Store prewiews for network MP3s on local Disk' Option.

Actually, you can put previews to the local or network drive, the problem is that the link from Songs-DB's database to them can be easily lost - in case they are moved somewhere or inaccessible for some reason and DB update funtion is executed. This will be prevented somehow in the future.
