Missing Artwork For Single Release
All of my artwork shows up no problem except for one album that I do not understand the issue.
Here's screenshots:

What do I need to do to see my artwork for this release?
This is the latest BETA: 2024.0.0.3003

Re: Missing Artwork For Single Release
Are you saying that it is specific to this beta version? What do I need to do to see my artwork for this release?

If not, is it specific to the file? i.e. even if you remove it from library and re-add (or add as duplicate) then artwork thumbnail fails to generate?
Re: Missing Artwork For Single Release
This has happened with several version of MMW5. I do not know what the issue is here.
Do you have any suggestions to display the album art? There's nothing different or special for these files. All of them are 192kHz, and they are large. The JPG album art is also large (2400x2400).
This was a compilation collection I purchased long ago from HDTracks.com. Do you think that the issue I face has something to do with me changing the album name for various tracks? I wanted to account for all album releases, and I changed tracks to reflect the actual album the music was released on. I also changed the year for those same tracks to match the album release date. All tracks share the same front cover image though.

Re: Missing Artwork For Single Release
I play any one of these files from this collection set using VLC, and I see the album art without issue:
https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ekisjy92 ... t9t9v&dl=0
This appears to be an issue with MMW5. When I click on Van Halen, the software is pulling art from unknown places and displaying it instead of my defined album art.
It is ignoring album art from files and displaying whatever it wants. I need to figure out how to turn this off and stick with Folder.jpg or what is in the file only. No Internet downloads. No idea why it is doing this now.
I have every single auto-tagging option turned off. I then removed the entire collection from the library followed by re-adding it. MMW5 changed the defined album art for a puny image it downloaded from some place. How do I stop it from doing this and only use the album art that exists in the file? It will always match Folder.jpg.
Thanks.

Re: Missing Artwork For Single Release
You're now describing 2 things. 1 is an issue with 1 file not displaying Artwork and another is files not having Artwork.
Online lookup happens when no Artwork is known. You can disable automatic Artwork lookup. Are you saying that files for which this happen do have associated Artwork? If so is this external or embedded Artwork?

Re: Missing Artwork For Single Release
My files have always had artwork. The issue is that MMW5 is not displaying the artwork that has always existed. This was why I posted. One problem -- artwork that is clearly and has always been defined is not displayed.
I only removed file from library due to no other help I was getting. Ludek stated something about specific files, so I removed all the files from the library. After re-adding the same files that contain the same artwork, it is not displayed at all. This time MMW5 is showing Internet downloaded images . VLC shows the artwork without issue.
I hope this is clear now. I still cannot see my artwork.
Here are my options you shared referring to online lookup that have not been changed for years:

Re: Missing Artwork For Single Release
This looks like another software defect. I will post in bugs.
Album Artwork Not Displayed
Version 2024.0.0.3003.
Album artwork is 100% ignored by MMW5. A specific set of FLAC files for an album have embedded JPG files and a Folder.jpg that exists in the album directory.
MMW5 is ignoring turned off online options and downloaded album art from the Internet that does not match the album art included with the purchased FLAC downloads. I removed the entire album from my library followed by re-adding it. After doing this, MMW5 mysteriously decided to ignore my disabled online download options and do it anyway regardless.

Re: Missing Artwork For Single Release
Lookup will also happen when displaying Artwork in the Filelisting, this can't be disabled.
Please capture the first scan of the affected file (so remove from Library first), then the displaying of the file where Artwork fails in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86643

Re: Missing Artwork For Single Release
My question to you is why for album art that I specified for a complete album is MMW5 ignoring and displaying something downloaded from the Internet?Lowlander wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 10:26 am Lookup will also happen when displaying Artwork in the Filelisting, this can't be disabled.

I am not sure why you are asking me to capture any debug logs.
Are you able to answer this?
Re: Missing Artwork For Single Release
Please remove the file from the Library, then capture it's scanning into the Library and subsequent failure to display Artwork (or displaying downloaded Artwork) in the debug log.
Properties > Artwork does display the correct Artwork? Was it embedded or external Artwork for this file that failed to show in MM?

Re: Missing Artwork For Single Release
So it is supposed to be displaying my embedded artwork and not downloading from the Internet.Lowlander wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 11:01 am Please remove the file from the Library, then capture it's scanning into the Library and subsequent failure to display Artwork (or displaying downloaded Artwork) in the debug log.

I already shared links showing properties Artwork was correct showing the embedded artwork that I expect:

Re: Missing Artwork For Single Release
Yes, this is why we're asking for a debug log so we can try to figure out why it isn't working.

Re: Missing Artwork For Single Release
Same here.
I lookup album art online, select a pretty one.
Then I can save it but I don't see it,
save it anyway, and no show.
Also not in properties.
After reading your comment I opened it in VLC and there it was!!!
