Hi:
I just noticed that all my music files are set to read-only. I didn't set the attribute, so I assume that MM may have set it when using the files. What is perplexing is that I can edit or delete the music files. If the files are read-only, how am I still able to edit or delete them? For example, when I download and save new album artwork, there is a prompt from MM asking to delete existing images.

MediaMonkey doesn't set files as Read-Only. Where do you see the files as read-only and which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey are you using?

I don't know what set these files as read-only, but MediaMonkey doesn't change this Property. You'll need to remove read-only so MediaMonkey can write tag changes to the files.
As far as Artwork, if you remove associated Artwork files in MediaMonkey, MediaMonkey will prompt to remove them from your PC. By the looks of it, they were created by WMP.
