[SOLVED 1817] Crashes in 2816

Post by lindholm »

Since I installed 1816 (debug) this morning it has crashed at least three times (claims to have sent a log to the server).

It crashed twice on the same song, third time I played it MM had no problems

I've been playing the same playlist for the last couple of weeks with no problems

It keeps crashing, and claiming to send log files.

It's unusable at this point. Reverting to an older version (if I can)

Hi,
I'm not sure that your logs have been really submitted/received,
could you please write down log ID or at least part of your email address (or user ID)?

Thanks!

Hi, we have 3 logs with ID/Name George/Thor from this domain, all freeze during playback. Analyzing, seems to be recent regression.

These crashes/freezes should be fixed in the next release build.

Hi,
Is it realtek type of Sound card Audio and can you attach screenshot of Sound Card control panel and device driver version?

Sorry for bothering you with tech details, but few fixes MiPi implemented in next build I have seen that such issues are got influenced by Sound card driver Version and settings.

Here are my settings:

Hi,
first I've heard of the Realtek audio manager :) Tried to install it but it said it couldn't find any drivers.

Hmm, I'm unable to paste screenshot(s).

Realtek USB Audio:
Provider: Realtek Semiconductor Corp.
Driver Date: 2022-09-15
Diver Version: 6.3.9600.2342

Realtek Digital Ouotput (Realtek USB Audio)
Provider: Microsoft
Driver Date: 2022-05-06
Driver Version: 10.0.22621.1

Hi,
Try using these https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/E ... _64bit.zip

Also if Manager do not show in tray type "Control Panel" in File explorer address bar -> Switch to Large/Small icons view and you should see Realtek manager.

Hi,
That one should work. No matter the timestamp. It is complete driver package from realtek, one you have appears MS generic driver where versions not mean much. Only thing that matters is Sound Chip model integrated on MB and my is ALC1220 (made 2017) you can see the model of Sound Chip on specification details of your motherboard manufacturer (see my MB on link above and my chip description).

Hi,
It is almost same as ALC1200 except it uses USB interface connection instead of MB BUS. You should be OK with that driver. If not You can try Links Below and to enable DTS on card (If available) use https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/ ... 10.4.0.zip

Main Driver:
https://data-us.aaeon.com/DOWNLOAD/Driv ... 9239.1.zip
https://newdata.aaeon.com.tw/DOWNLOAD/D ... 9239.1.zip
https://download.asrock.com/IPC/Drivers ... _FF00).zip
https://cdn.evga.com/driver/Z790/E798/Audio.zip
https://cdn.evga.com/driver/Z790/E799/Audio.zip
https://download.msi.com/dvr_exe/ipc/Au ... _PG477.zip
OR https://krakenfiles.com/view/va3dxXdkV7/file.html

I personally think that 9205 should work, but you can try these.

NOTE: There is possibility that multiple restarts would be needed. If you get Restart Loop, try other one.

EDIT: If you want to temper and play with you can use these https://github.com/pal1000/Realtek-UAD-generic/releases
