Playlist on shuffle plays all songs from an artist at once

I have a Playlist that contains songs by various artists, with multiple songs by some artists. When the Playlist is set to shuffle, why does it play all songs by an artist one after the other? It's like the songs are shuffled but the artists are not. Is this expected behaviour and, if so, can it be changed?

Thanks lowlander, I shuffled the playlist like this:
1. Open the playlist.
2. Start it playing.
3. From the bottom of the screen swipe up the playing song.
4. Set the shuffle using the button to the left of the previous song button.

I'm using mma version 2.0.0.1091.

Is the Playlist itself sorted in anyway or does it maybe seem the order of the Playlist is transferred to the Playing Queue as is?

I manually sorted the playlist in alphabetical order by song title and it transferred to the PQ in that order.

Thanks again, yes I can do that but can you please explain how? I can't see anything in Settings to turn debug logging on so I wasn't sure how to go about it.

Thanks, I didn't realise it creates the logs automatically. I shall play some songs, upload the log and post the
logID here.

Well, very strange but this time when I opened the playlist and started it playing, it shuffled all the songs and the artists. Goodness knows what was happening before.
