Hi all,
As an example of a problem I see: in MediaMonkey 5, a particular album shows that for all tracks, the "Album Artist" is set to Various.
However, when I look at Emby or at the properties of the underlying file in Windows, the tracks in the album have different values for Album Artist - some are actually set to "Various Artists" while some have a strange error where it's "lbum ar" (presumably derived from "album artist").
Changing the tag in Mediamonkey doesn't change the tag outside Mediamonkey.
In properties, I have "Update tags when editing properties" turned on. "Store MP3 file properties using" is set to "ID3v1 and v2.4 tags"
Any help appreciated
Paul

Re: Mediamonkey tags not reflected in other apps/Windows tags
Hi,
The best way would be to supply us screenshots of what is seen in MM properties and what Windows see. Also if you can open support ticket and supply us Download link to affected Album so that we can analyze it?
Album artist in question is problematic as there is number of standards that apply for it, but it is not strictly standardized, but many apps accepted common approach. Same goes for MM that use most accepted standard by majority of apps and it also depend from track format to track format eg. MP3 vs FLAC vs OGG vs WAV vs ...

Re: Mediamonkey tags not reflected in other apps/Windows tags
Hi there,
You can see the issue here in three screenshots; on the left is the track in MediaMonkey 5, top-right is how it appears in Windows, bottom-right is in Emby (since the track has a unique album artist the track shows as orphaned in its own album).

Re: Mediamonkey tags not reflected in other apps/Windows tags
This can happen when multiple instances of the tag are in the file.
Have you tried to force save the tags with Tools > Edit tags > Update Tags?
