Hey guys,

I've suddenly run into a sync issue with my older iPod Gen 4. I can see the device as normal In MM4 yet it's stuck on (Preparing list of files)

I don't know what has changed to make this stop working for me.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction to get this back up and running?

I'm on MM4 v4.1.30.1314. My iPod is on V6.1.6 (10B500) iTunes V12.12.3.5

First you should upgrade to latest MMW version from https://www.mediamonkey.com/sw/MediaMon ... _Debug.exe also download latest iPod plugin from https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/brow ... nc-plugin/

After that close MMW -> Start it using Run As administrator -> then go to Tools -> Extensions -> Add -> and install downloaded plugin. JUST make sure that Install as User is disabled. It will prompt to restart and all should be Ok from now on.

NOTE: Fix is already implemented in recent MM5 builds, but as you are using old MMW you need to manually patch new version of plugin in order to get support for newer versions of iTunes.

Since you mentioned it, is there a comparison of MM4 vs. MM5 somewhere that I can read to see if I'm ready to make the switch yet?
