The popup controls was fixed upon restart of my computer, which I did because same was suddenly missing from MM4 as well, so False alarm.

I am actually not sure what these were called, but if I have MM 4.xx or the release version of 5.1 running minimized, I can hover over the icon in windows toolbar, and in the resulting popup, I can fast forward, stop, next track etc.

This functionality is missing for me in 5.2.2508 recently downloaded. I don't see it mentioned in the 2510 fix list, not installed yet.

Also, for some reason, my windows toolbar autohides behind this version, and does not pop up when I cursor to the edge of the screen as it does with other programs.

I'm not seeing this.
If I have the Windows Tool bar set to autohide, it reappears when using MM5 in fullscreen mode, when I move the cursor just beyond the bottom of the screen.
This is consistent with other programs on my PC.

You seeing this all the time. or just when MM5 is working hard, ie. scanning or Auto-Tagging etc?
I have noticed that heavy background tasks do make some UI responses a bit slow.

Yes, for now I see this all the time, windows taskbar won't pop up at all from under MM5 full screen maximized. If I window MM5, the taskbar does pop up. same taskbar pops up just fine from under MM4

3 yr old HP laptop, Intel I5 with intel graphics, windows 10 latest updates.

One other minor thing - the MM4 taskbar icon popup in MM4 has a progress indicator for how far along the current track is playing, MM5 does not have that??

Still not happening in 2511...

As you can see in the above links no fix for this was included in 2511.

For me being not used to the bug format, it is a bit hard to read, some places it says fixed, and I see it also says re-opened, but not clear which came first or last.

Maybe at there should be a way to cross out or remove the earlier "Fixed" notation???

Lots of stuff I fixed becomes unfixed again after a while.

Seeing the following marked as fixed - I just downloaded the latest beta, and my windows taskbar is still not popping up from behind MM5 2526

The issue is still open in the bug tracker.

[EDIT-Rusty] When an issue is marked as fixed in particular build number, but the status isn't Fixed or Closed, it means that a change in relation to the issue was made but it didn't resolve the bug.

I know this has been discussed before, but I can't find the old thread to bump it, so here goes anew:

While mediamonkey is playing a track, I can hover over the toolbar icon, and a dialog pops up showing track name and some controls to go back, pause, next track, etc and even the rating can be changed.

What MM5 does not show, and MM4 did show this, is the progress bar, so I can tell about how much longer this track will play.

Any chance of bringing this back??

You misunderstand, my popup works fine in both MM4 and MM5.

The one in MM4 has a live progress bar, the one in MM5 does not.

Personally I more like MM5 larger Rating icons than progress bar. If I want MM in Taskbar I use Micro Player.
