[REQ] Strange frequence bands in visualizer

Is it possible changing the frequency bands for the visualizer function so it better represents the common frequencies in music?
It seems that the visualizer function is divided into 0-1 kHz, 1-2 kHz, 2-3 kHz and so on. It would be better if it was divided into octaves, for example <55 hz, 55-110 Hz, 110-220 Hz, 220-440 Hz and so on.
