Need some advice please:
I just did a clean install of MM5 Gold and rescanned my music. The FLAC files sound overdriven even at low volume and border on being garbled.
Here are some of the files:
Here are the installed Codecs/ Input (plug-ins)
Her are the Audio Output (plug-ins)
Thanks in advance. Mike

Re: FLAC files are garbled on clean install
Does it still happen with Play > Level playback volume disabled from the Main Menu?

Re: FLAC files are garbled on clean install
Hi Lowlander,
Thanks for the reply. I had Level Playback Volume unchecked. When I enabled it the problem went away. I must have inadvertantly disabled Level Playback Volume, confusing it with Level Track Volume in my old brain when setting up the clean install.
Play To Internal Player was in Tools > Options > Streaming.

That's odd, normally the reverse is true, but if it works, it works.

Please check track properties -> details and Volume level values. A screenshot would be welcomed. Not all apps follow correct standard which can result in wrong values.jmikelong wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 9:24 am Hi Lowlander,

EDIT: If possible can you please supply us DL link to one of the files (use file sharing services as FLAC files are too big for an attachment)
