Ignore Second Genre

Post by MPG »

Hi,
I'm wondering if this is possible with MMA.
All of my songs have one genre, except Christmas music. They have two genres, with Christmas being first and the second being separated by a semi colon. Over the Christmas break, I added a Christmas music playlist to my phone. After Christmas, I decided to play some easy listening music, so I picked the easy listening genre and sure enough, I got Christmas and non-Christmas music. How do I get MMA to ignore the second genre? In the sync profile, I have "use only the first genre when multiple genres exist" selected. Doesn't seem to make any difference.
I thought about creating playlists for each genre that would ignore Christmas, but that's a pain. Plus, each playlist is synced to a different folder so there would be duplicates of everything.
\Music\<Playlist>\$Left(<Artist>,20) - <Track #:2> - <Title>

Anyone have any suggestions?
TIA

Hi,
You can't As MMA do not support Auto Playlists where you can filter Multi Genre.

Have you tried to Create Collection that will filter out Christmas genre and use it for Auto Playlists?
