Can extract the audio from CDs and listen to them using alternative methods?

I haven't been using Media Monkey for a long time, so I'm wondering if it's possible to extract the audio from CDs and listen to them using alternative methods? This can help extend the lifespan of my CDs.

Hi,
On Windows MM5
1. Insert CD
2. Tools -> Rip CD
3. Select path -> Format (FLAC recommended as it is lossless) -> Disable volume leveling (Analyze volume later)
4. Select ripped files for sync -> Sync
5. Enjoy.
