MM5 won't restore after 2963 update

I was running MM 5.0.4.2684. Closed the application, Installed 2963 update. Selected the checkbox to Launch MediaMonkey. The only thing that appears is the icon in the iconbar next to the time (Windows 11). Right-click on this doesn't offer a context menu. Left-click starts playing whatever track was next up when it was last open.

Does it start normally if you rename persistent.json to persistent.json.old and then start MediaMonkey?
