Funky Missing Artwork Add On, where is it?

Post by richiefinger »

I can see an addon called Funky Missing Artwork in the add-ons list in MM5..
I can't see it on the add-ons download page?
Where do I get it?
Or how do I install it?
Or How do I run it?

Funky Missing Artwork is built in and it's what creates the two-letter default artwork, such as (for example) a box saying "Ch" for the album named "Chatterbox". It's pre installed with MM but you can uninstall it if you don't want it.

I uploaded many addons to MM's addon page, but not all of those were created by me. "By drakinite, Submitted by drakinite" means I made it on my own time. "By Ventis Media, Inc., Submitted by drakinite" means it may have been made by me or another MediaMonkey developer, so instead of crediting/thanking me, please thank the team. You can still ask me for support on any of our addons.

How do i turn it on?
I'm assuming it puts two letters as you said on any missing artwork?
I'm not getting that, just the grey circle on missing artwork.

Would be great if it could show user defined fields.
ie Title / Artist and have the option to save it to the art tag.
I have lots of unreleased, mixes edits etc that don't have artwork.
Having the addon generate user defined fields would be perfect.

I am not getting any grey circles:

In your case the artwork is probably a deadlink or broken artwork?
If you right-click the file > Properties > Artwork is the path to the artwork file correct?

Oh, I think we should clarify that Funky Missing Artwork only works on the Grid (by Album) and Artist Grid views. The artwork panel still shows the default "album missing" icon even with Funky Missing Artwork installed.
