Slow response/ muting

So with the new update of I skip songs even a little fast it can't keep up and eventually sticks to a song and usually will mute it.
All I have to do is pause it then play again and it's unmuted. But this is just annoying and the last version worked perfectly. It was also easier to blindly skip songs on the last version.
