Greetings folks and crap_inhuman,
Today I had issues with Discogs Tagger v5.82 locking up MM v4.1.31.1919 when searching for metadata and album art. It would search endlessly with no timeout, requiring me to close MM.
So I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling Discogs Tagger. No change, same issue of endless search locking up MM.
So I looked at the my Discogs account API settings in the Discogs website and found I had 5 instances of Discogs-Tagger approved as a 3rd party application. I decided to clear out all of my old API settings including revoking my old token and token secret.
I then uninstalled and reinstalled Discogs Tagger 5.82 again, but this time creating a new Discogs Access token during the installation process. I was greeted with a success message.
I entered my new Discogs API token and token secret information into MediaMonkey>Options>Discogs Tagger section and reran an Autotag from Web query. It worked, the endless search was now gone, but apparently I am now limited to only the MusicBrainz search.
The option to search the Discogs database is missing.
I may be guilty of not paying attention to things, but i swear the options box on the right hand side of the screen used to show an option of connecting to Discogs or MusicBrainz. Or am I wrong?
From everything I can see, MM is connected to Discogs, but I just don't understand why my Autotag from the Web is not going to Discogs. It's probably something simple, but I have not found it after a couple of hours of going through the various applications. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
By the way, notice that in the Autotag from MusicBrainz for the Destiny's Child album above, the album song tracks are not synchonizing properly with the song tracks on my drive. Is that a MusicBrainz problem or is that a problem within my MM settings?
Thanks again.
