how would i go about making the custom field 1 so that i would sort my music files according to the date the file was created?

Don't bother. Date Added functionality will be included with MM 2.2 (an alpha is coming out _soon_).

MM 2.2 Alpha is very very Unstable. Keep calm a little it will be biggggggg suprice to all when it comes to an test relese.
