Find missing files with changed extension
Hi,
I need to change my FLAC files to ALAC (.m4a) for handling reasons. dBpoweramp does this fine, keeping same filename in same folder and deleting FLAC. When I now rescan my MM library, MM imports the new ALACs and shows that deleted FLACs are missing. I would like to tell MM that the new ALACs are the missing files, but MM won‘t recognize them as them.
Is there and way to tell MM, that the new ALACs are identical to the old FLACs? Because I won‘t rebuild all my playlists.

Re: Find missing files with changed extension
I don't think so. MediaMonkey itself can't and I doubt that this Addon can: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=63823&hilit=update+location
So it would be recommended to use MediaMonkey to convert the files.

Thx Lowlander,
But doesn‘t seem to work the way I want.
I‘ll export playlists and batch edit M3U files and reimport all. More work...but however

Re: Find missing files with changed extension
I‘ve trouble syncing my FLACs -> ALAC to my IPhone 11. When syncing a bunch of tracks, syncing freezes after a few tracks. Sometimes 100, sometimes 200... and I have to disconnect my phone, shutdown Monkey, start up Monkey, connect my phone again. An annoying progress. So, I want to convert my FLACs before to be able using ITunes to sync and Monkey still for desktop playback, editing...

You should capture this problem in a debug log (step 4b) so that the developers can analyze why this happens for you: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=69 They may be able to resolve it. Attach the log to a Support Ticket if you choose to capture it.

Freeze while sync IPhone 11 with ALAC
Hi, I got following issue. When I sync a bunch of my FLACs -> ALAC on my IPhone 11 (IOS 14.4), it loops after syncing a few songs. Sometimes after 100, sometimes after 200. I need to disconnect, restart and reconnect. Syncing to MP3 or AAC works fine without freezing. Using newest MM 4 beta gold.

Fixed, it should be: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=69

Re: Find missing files with changed extension
Sorry, but not fixed. I use this version. Like I said, MP3 or AAC transcode/sync works fine, but ALAC will hang from time to time.

The link works for me. If it doesn't for you, you can find instructions in the Bug Reports sub-forum.
