Hi,
if the files has no album tag, the Tagger automatically search for Artist and Title. But it will find all releases which contains this song.
Hi,
Okay.SugarRush wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 5:51 am yes, i know, which is part of the problem. if there's no album tag it's ok.
scenario: i want to "re-tag" a song from an compilation album already tagged with that album.
what i want: i want to tag it with the original release instead, not the compilation album
current way: i start discogs tagger, go to drop down list "quick search" choose artist-title and then new search.
quicker way: if discogs tagger could start by looking for artist-titel the original relase would be shown directly.
Code: Select all

I posted this issue with v5.73. It was fixed with v5.74, but now it's back with v5.75.charmingnathan wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 12:11 pm Hi,
Are you able to help please?
I am using the latest Tagger, and am experiencing a few issues to say the least!
The tagging service is regularly listing all the tracks in the wrong order - and I have tried this with several different albums.
I had managed to get around this for a time, by re-starting MediaMonkey after I'd catalogued an album, but even this doesn't make any difference. Now, even when the titles are listed in the correct order, and I click on the button to tag, it will only complete a couple of song titles, leaving the others untouched, despite them being ticked to tag.
Any ideas?
Thanks for any help, in advance.
Downgrading back to v5.74 fixes the above described problem.

Sorry for the late response. Since I last posted, my computer died, so I built a new one and migrated my library over to the new PC which went very smoothly, might I add... However, I still have same problems with v5.75, despite now being on completely different computer with a fresh install from operating system to applications.crap_inhuman wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 10:36 amWould you please send me the Log-File after this problem occur ?misterioso wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 12:49 amI'm having this problem with v5.75 and I am using MM v4.1.28.1905. Hi,freisgd wrote: ↑Mon Jul 06, 2020 3:28 pm I'm getting an error every time I try to use Discogs as my tagger.
I have an account with Discogs,
I have authorized and gotten the "you have logged in successfully with Discogs!" "AccessTotken" AccessTokenSecret" and GUID.
After I go back to MediaMonkey and click OK I get a pop-up that says:
I have tried to use MusicBrainz, but it never seems to be able to find what I'm looking for.Code: Select all

Any help would be greatly appreciated. As a side note does anyone know why Amazon is still listed as a search option, since it is no longer supported?
Thank you for sending me the LOG-Files and screenshots. I will take a look into it.misterioso wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 2:07 am

However, I still have same problems with v5.75, despite now being on completely different computer with a fresh install from operating system to applications.
Rather than dumping files here, I placed screen snapshots and discogs_script.log files in Google Drive and PM'd you the link.
In the meantime, I'm still using v5.74.
Thanks for looking at the files.
The problem is, that you don't tag all songs from a release. If you only choose i.E. 4 songs for tagging, but the album have 10 songs, you need to deselect all other songs in the upper part of the Tagger window.crap_inhuman wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 11:15 amThank you for sending me the LOG-Files and screenshots. Hi,Ewan_Hoozami wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 1:11 am Hi
I'm having trouble understanding the instructions to authorize the tagger, specifically item 11, where it says "use the second link in the information window". What is the "information window"? I cant find one in the app or the discogs website.
thanks
Great !Ewan_Hoozami wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 5:59 pm Thanks, got it authorized now.
But when I insert a CD it tags it, but says it's getting the info from FreeDB. I thought it has been shut down?
cheers
Ewan
I don't keep full albums in my library. If I like only 4 songs in a 10 song album, I'll discard the 6 songs I don't like if I've ripped a complete album. If I buy music online, I often buy single tracks instead of full albums.crap_inhuman wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 6:10 pm

Sorry for the inconvenience, but i need to change this for better compatibility.
I'm using Windows 10 64 Feature Update 2004, the latest.crap_inhuman wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 11:11 amHi,freisgd wrote: ↑Mon Jul 06, 2020 3:28 pm I'm getting an error every time I try to use Discogs as my tagger.

sorry for the late answer.
I never saw this error message with DiscogsTagger.
Which Windows Version you have ? Please try to open https://www.germanc64.de with the Internet Explorer Browser. Do you get a error message?
