Multiple crashes [#16773]

Post by kookykrazee »

I update each new build, as they come out, but I am still having problems with, what to me appear to be random crashes, though I am sure it is something else.

My MediaMOnkeyEngine.el file is 499KB, not sure if that is a big file or not, but with the number of crashes, over weeks and weeks, I hope that it appends to the file?

To gives some ideas of things I do when I get different crashes:
I have MM5 scan/add new files from the folders I want to keep track with
I try to rename and tag or remove tags on files.

I do other things, too, but they appear variation of random renaming of files and tags.

Not sure if it helps, but there about 615k files in the database.

I submitted an initial ticket SRP-466-93281. I also attached my debug file and a snippet of one of the crashes I got.

Every time I get a crash, I have to force close the MM5 build.

I did notice, before I reset my db file, that there were like 8-10 1GB sized DB files. Is there a theoretical size limit for the DB file in MM5? I do see that my DB file in MM4 is 1.08GB but seems to run much faster, overall.

Thank you for any help, I would to continue to use MM5, if at all possible.

You may have backup enabled, which explains the multiple copies. 1GB is not a small database file, but MediaMonkey can handle larger.

I might have, they are spaced out and only a couple are from the last couple months, so there is that.

I have submitted the debug report and files. Hopefully, some things can be figured out :)
