[REQ] Displays the current playlist

Post by M.Moeritz »

Hello,

I would find it an important feature if not only the number of tracks in the play list would be seen which is being played but also the name of the current Playlist.

It sounds simple, but it's quite tricky since ATM, the Now Playing list is composed of whatever tracks have been added to the list and if the NP list is labelled it becomes unclear what exactly is being updated/should be updated. e.g. suppose you play playlist:'Exercise music' and it appears labelled as such in Now Playing, then you add 5 tracks to the NP list (=Exercise music); should the playlist be updated to include those 5 new tracks?

I do not understand the problem unfortunately, sorry. Where the track "33/45" should be "Exercise music 33/45". I have over 100 playlists and 5 devices, I often do not know which playlist I'm playing. It could also be "Exercising music" instead of "Now playing". I would just like to know which playlist I'm playing

The problem is that the Now Playing isn't tied to the Playlist, you could have added the Playlist to existing files in the Now Playing, add multiple Playlists, add additional files, remove files and reorder files all making the Now Playing no longer equal to the Playlist

Okay I understand. But I use to 90% only playlists. Is there a possibility when I play over play list play the name of the selected play list is displayed, until something is changed? Or would it be an alternative to integrate a course? Where you can see everything you have recently chosen and searched for?

I suppose that it could be possible. Some other apps indicate 'Playing from X' whenever all files from X are played (to distinguish from the actual playlist X).

We'll consider this for 2.0.

Thanks!
